Last Saturday I wrapped my role in The Incarnation, and today the filming is complete. It felt so good to step back onto a film set (It has been too long!). Shooting this project has made me realize that how many possibilities I have on my doorstep. I met the most amazing cast and crew this weekend. The energy on set energized me and gave me a renewed sense of purpose. I cannot wait to see the final project. Here is a sneak peek...

Last night the entire cast of Murder on the Nile were together at last! We have been slowly piecing together the show in segments and out of order for the last 3 weeks. It feels a lot like working on a film. It feels good to finally have everyone in the same room at the same time.
We had a spectacular opening weekend for The Lion in Winter! I am so thrilled to be working with such talented performers in the beautiful Whittier Center Theatre. We have put in many hours, working with the local community and a super hero band of volunteers to make this show come alive on stage. We had a Thursday night preview for local high school students, and two superb opening performances. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us this weekend! We appreciate each and every one of you!
I was invited back to perform for the Orange County Playwrights Alliance! On November 15th @ 2:30pm, we will present 3 new one-act plays written by local playwrights. Stage Door Repertory will be hosting the event. I have been asked to read the part of a European spy in the new comedy Spies Like Me by John Lane. Director Philip Brickey will be taking the reins again for this fantastical comedy. I can't wait to step into the world of international espionage.
Thanks to my dear friend and 3 time director, Phil Brickey, I have been asked to join a staged reading for the Orange County Playwrights Alliance (OCPA). I will be participating in a one night only performance at Newport Theatre Arts Center. On July 12th, we will present 3 new one-act plays written by local playwrights. I have been asked to read Mary Frances Lo Furno in A Sicilian's New World by Bob Bevacqua. Time to brush up on my Italian!
For the event info. please visit my Events Page or http://www.ocplaywrights.org. The Women opened last night to a house of 70 patrons. It was so nice to have audience feedback after rehearsing for so many weeks to an empty house (save our director Brandon Ferruccio). After the show we were greeted with warm enthusiasm in the lobby and someone even commented to me, "You made me forget I was watching a play". How thrilling! Behold the magic of theatre! Now that the opening night jitters are out of the way, we can really sink our teeth in. Get ready for the claws to come out. Night 2 of The Women begins tonight at Westminster Playhouse at 8pm! |
