I am pleased to announce that I have been cast as Rosalind in The Shakespeare Institute Player’s summer production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It. The production will take place July 19th-21st in the Institute Gardens. This will be my final show with the players, as I will be returing to California in September of this year. I am blessed to play my dream role in Shakespeare's home town and look forward to begining rehearsals at the end of this month. |

The bad news – The Fuimus Troes (The True Trojans) project has been put on hold until further notice (hopefully not indefinitely).
The good news – I will be playing the Virgin Mary in The Spicer’s play The Annunciation and Visitation of Mary from the 15th century York cycle plays. A dear friend of mine is exploring the various production practices of medieval English drama, and has invited me to take part in his research. The production will rehearse through April and go up May 18th. I will be playing Hulacus in a staged reading of Fuimus Troes (The True Trojans) written by Jasper Fisher. The reading will be the first performance of the play in its original space since 1618, at Magdalen College in Oxford. On Monday March 19th, the reading will begin at 9:30am, followed by a academic discussion of the work. The panel discussion following the reading will be made up of Dr. Marion Turner, Prof. Laurie Maguire, Prof. Katherine Duncan-Jones, Dr. Sarah Knight, Dr. Elisabeth, Dutton, and Dr. James McBain. More information to follow!
I am proud to announce my involvement in the Ketterer’s Men production of W.S. Gilbert’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. I will be putting on my manly tights once again as Guildenstern in this one-time benefit performance. I am excited to raise money for the Lizz Ketterer Trust and hope to see all of the Shakespeare Institute Family at the show on February 11th at 7:30pm.
I am thrilled to announce that I will be playing Saturninus in the Spring production of Titus Andronicus at the Shakespeare Institute! Jon Harvery will be directing this cross gendered production for the Shakespeare Institute Players, in which most the characters will be played by women (all except Titus). This allows me the opportunity to play a character that I would not normally be considered for. Our first read-through will take place after the holiday season, which gives me plenty of time to prepare for the role. I am looking forward to getting started!
I am proud to announce that I will be playing Beatrice-Joanna in a production of The Changeling presented by the Shakespeare Institute Players in Stratford-upon-Avon. This is my first production with the players, a group associated with my postgraduate studies.
I am anxious to begin rehearsals, and even more anxious to begin researching the role. As this is my first encounter with The Changeling, I have a lot of work to do. I know that all of my Los Angeles friends and colleagues will be sad to miss this one - but you can send me positive energy across the pond! Wish me luck! I am proud to announce my second project with Write Act Repertory! I have been cast as Shelly, the sexy blonde bimbo in the new original short play Hit Man written by Bonnie Hallman. Once again, I will be working with director Michael Eiden.
I just finished my first reading of the script, a dark fast-moving comedy about a hit man, an affair and a murder. Let the crime begin! I will officially be playing Wilhelmine (Minna) Webern in a staged reading of the new play Transfigured Night by Todd Rew. Blue Moon Theatre Company will host this event on June 4th at 2:00 PM. I am privileged to be included in the very first stage reading and to reunite with director Phil Brickey. Until our first meeting as a cast, it is time to listen to some surrealist music and invest in an Austrian/German pronunciation dictionary.
I am pleased to announce that I have been cast in a short play called Chili Con Carnage at Write Act Repertory. I am reuniting with director Michael Eiden after being selected as 1 or 4 actors playing 19 love-struck characters in his WCT production of Almost, Maine last year.
In Chili Con Carnage, I will be playing RickiJean, a young woman who lives in a run down cabin west of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, who supports herself by selling questionably made chili to the local Black Cat Tavern. I just finished my first read of the script and I am truly excited to dive into this project head first! So, keep your eyes and ears open! More information about this project is COMING SOON! I am pleased to announce that I will be playing Vicki in Newport Theatre Arts Center’s upcoming production of Killjoy by Jerry Mayer.
The audition process for this production was quite unusual. I originally responded to a casting call for Room Service, by John Murray. But as luck would have it Room Service was canceled abruptly and I was left with nothing on my schedule. I just got the call yesterday, that NTAC decided to replace their production of Room Service with Killjoy and before I knew it I received the role of Vicki. Our first read-through is tomorrow, so I have very little time to prep for the role. I do not even think I will make it out to Samuel French in time to procure a copy before our table read. I can’t wait to get the ball rolling on this production! |
